Our commitment
Some jobs are not just about getting a parcel from A to B. They depend on knowing exactly who had the consignment, when, and what condition it was in at every step. K.A.Z Carriers recognises this and provides a secure transport service that supports a clear chain of custody from collection through to signed delivery.
Operational standards
For secure jobs our drivers will:
- Verify collection identity, paperwork and consignment details before leaving site
- Sign and timestamp the handover at both ends of the journey
- Photograph packaging on collection and on delivery where the customer has asked for it
- Keep consignments in the vehicle with the driver throughout the journey
- Avoid unscheduled stops; planned breaks are taken only at secure locations
- Lock and alarm the vehicle whenever they are away from it
- Report any incident, attempted interference or near miss to the customer the same day
Vehicle and equipment
Vehicles used for secure work carry appropriate load restraints, anti-slip matting and protective blankets. The cargo area is kept clean and clear of personal effects so consignments are not mixed with anything they shouldn't be.
Confidentiality
Any information shared with us in connection with a secure job — including addresses, recipient names, product details and commercial sensitivities — is treated as confidential. We do not discuss customer consignments outside the team that needs to know, and we do not photograph or share details on social media.
Subcontractors
Where a secure job is subcontracted to a partner driver, that partner is briefed on the chain-of-custody requirements in writing and is held to the same standards as our own drivers. Subcontracting is only used where it has been disclosed and agreed with the customer.
Insurance
Standard work is covered by our Goods-in-Transit insurance. For higher-value or specifically declared consignments we will discuss appropriate cover and any necessary uplift before the booking is confirmed.
